PharmProps, LLC was launched out of necessity!
My husband is in charge of medical training for a major fire department in Ohio. He has been an EMT since he was 16 and a paramedic for about 25 years. His first love was firefighting and he loved being on the busiest fire company in the city until he was promoted to Captain and forced into the training position. After putting in "his time" there, he could have transferred back out onto a fire company, but found himself needed more in medical training! The program, at that time, needed someone to take charge, because there had been a lot of officers in and out of that position in a short period of time. All of the transferring in and out of that department had wreaked havoc on the program, and he likes a challenge! So, now that 6 years have flown by, he finds himself STILL there!
One day last year, he came home from work, frustrated because he had discovered that using expired drugs for training is illegal in Ohio, and, even though everyone does it, he is a by the book kind of person. The next few weeks were spent searching the internet and making phone calls to colleagues to find out what they were using...they were either filling up their empty vials and re-using them, using expired drugs or using new drugs...he does not have the time or manpower to re-fill empty vials, using expired medication is no longer an option, and new drugs are expensive and can create a hazard...so, he knew he had to figure out something...he saw the need, we worked out the details, and here we are!
He is happy that PharmProps provides for safe, legal, inexpensive, and very effective training.
